About us

The City of Stanton is located in northwestern Orange County. With a population of more than 39,000 in 3.1 square miles, residents enjoy a small town community feeling. The City was incorporated in 1956 and has enjoyed growth and prosperity since that time. The City's motto - Community Pride and Forward Vision identifies Stanton as a place where innovation and pride in the community are an important aspect of life in Stanton. Community excitement comes from revitalization of commercial and residential areas, and the attraction of major new developments created through an active redevelopment program. Stanton residents enjoy major retail opportunities, active civic volunteers and a business-friendly City organizations. Veteran of the Month
City Council has implemented a program to honor a Veteran each month and
recognize their service at a City Council meeting.
A biography and photo of the selected Veteran will be on display throughou t
the month at City Hall for residents to view. We are proud to highlight such
important members of our community who have sacrificed so much for our

The Nomination Process
The community is encouraged to submit a nomination to honor a Veteran
that has lived in Stanton. The guidelines below can assist you while applying,
please include:
• A brief history of the nominee’s service. Include any locations, dates and
other relevant information.
• Any campaigns, battles or other actions he or she participated in.
• Any medals, awards and recognition the nominee received as well as any
civilian service.
• Contact information for the nominee and/or family member.
